Launching in 2027, GrindingHub Americas will be the first and as yet only trade fair in America dedicated exclusively to grinding technology. Organized by the German Machine Tool Builders' Association (VDW), Messe Stuttgart (ISTMA Global Partner) and Swissmem, the successful concept first established by GrindingHub Stuttgart is now being brought to the American market.
International grinding technology manufacturers plan to serve the US market
The initiative for GrindingHub Americas once again came from the manufacturers. "Well-known companies from the grinding technology sector, together with representatives of their US subsidiaries, asked us to develop a trade fair concept for the American market based on the model of GrindingHub in Stuttgart. It should be clearly structured and focused on grinding technology. We are delighted to be able to fulfill this request with our trusted partners Messe Stuttgart and Swissmem, as it also shows that the companies have great confidence in us," reports Dr. Markus Heering, Managing Director of the VDW. Roland Bleinroth, President of Messe Stuttgart, adds: "America is one of the most dynamic industrial markets in the world. Together with our American trade fair partners, we are convinced that the new GrindingHub Americas will become the ideal platform for the grinding technology sector and international cooperation in one of the most important global markets."
The products and services on show cover the entire spectrum of grinding technology: From grinding machines and tools through to automation, measurement technology, digitalization and sustainable production solutions. The event will have a strong focus on innovation and opportunities for international market leaders and local experts to meet up and exchange information, with the advantage that everyone is brought together in one location. Key areas of focus of the new trade fair include live demos and technologies that increase productivity, reduce costs and redefine precision.
Cincinnati as an ideal location
GrindingHub Americas is aimed specifically at decision-makers and purchasing staff from forward-thinking industries such as the automotive industry, aerospace, defense, medical technology and mechanical engineering. Cincinnati, in the heart of the Midwest industrial cluster, offers the ideal infrastructure and proximity to important production sites in the United States – especially for the automotive and aerospace sectors.
"GrindingHub Americas in Cincinnati is ideally located in the immediate vicinity of GE Aerospace and numerous automotive suppliers. There, we can demonstrate to key customer industries the capabilities of the international manufacturers, which can make a valuable contribution to the success and competitiveness of US industry," says Markus Heering, explaining the choice of location.
GrindingHub Americas will take place on May 18-20, 2027 at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Under the motto of "Where precision meets progress", the trade fair is positioning itself as an absolutely unmissable event for anyone who wants to set new standards in the world of grinding technology.
