Slovenia ISTMA-Europe member - Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia is hosting a conference about Excellence in Toolmaking, next 11 to 13 of October 2005. The conference will be take place in Portoroz city and is organized with the cooperation of the University of Maribor and of the University of Ljubljana. With more than 150 tool-making specialists expected at the conference, it can be an opportunity to exchange experiences.

France ISTMA-Europe member - AFIM (Association of Mould, Pattern Mould Making Industry) is hosting the 10th International Pattern & Model Making Congress, next 15 to 17 of June 2006. From 27 to 29 June in Melbourne Australia, the annual World Meeting was held for ISTMA - International Special Tooling & Machining Association, the World Mould Association, consisting of the three regional sections – ISTMA Europe, ISTMA Americas and FADMA/ISTMA Asia – currently representing worldwide 25 of the national associations from the moulds, special tools and precision machining industries.

The Next ISTMA World (the worldwide organisation) meeting will take place in Melbourne, Australia, from 26th to 29th June 2005, simultaneously with the meeting of the Asia branch of ISTMA (FADMA).

By invitation from the Portuguese Presidency and CEFAMOL, representatives from the Polish and the Hungarian associations were present as observers at the last ISTMA Europe meeting, held in Brno (CZ). During the meeting the Hungarian association made a formal request to join ISTMA, which was unanimously accepted.
