Organized by ISTMA-Europe in close co-operation with European Tooling Platform and VDMA (German National Association), Wiesbaden hosted the third edition of the European Tooling Forum on November 28th. With participants from several European Countries, this initiative was a milestone for promotion, visibility and recognition of Tooling Industry to official bodies, with a special focus on policy makers and the European Commission.

The European Tooling Forum brought together important representatives within the Sector. Emphasis was given to the presence of European associations, companies, universities and centers for innovation and development, including others directly connected to the Mould and Special Tooling Industry. The meeting was focused especially on strategies associating the Industry with the market and emphasized the importance and strategic positioning of the Sector within the scope of European industrial development.

Presentations and discussions demonstrated the strategic role played by the Sector and the importance of giving structural support to concerted efforts which would allow companies to be better prepared to face new challenges in the market.

To delegates was given the opportunity to hear and discuss presentations by well-known European companies and institutions such as Audi (Germany) stating the strategic importance and added value that Moulds and Special Tooling Industry brings to innovation and the creation of new products within Europe and European companies.
