SLOVENIAN TOOLMAKING EVENT LOOKS FORWARD

 

“Organization as a Driver of Business Improvements” is the slogan of the conference Orodjarstvo 2008 (Toolmaking 2008) scheduled to take place October 7–9 in Portoroz, Slovenia. The venue is the Hotel Slovenija. This will be the jubilee 30th edition of the event, and its focus is on organizing toolmaking business enterprises so that they can meet the challenges of the global marketplace, increasing environmental consciousness, and the need to manage costs through so-called lean manufacturing.

ISTMA EUROPE MET IN SWITZERLAND

 

Hosted by SWISSMEM – Swiss Member Association, representatives from 14 European countries (Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Portugal, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey) gathered in Zurich - Switzerland on the 21st and 22nd of April at a meeting of the European branch of the International Special Tooling & Machining Association.

ISTMA TERMINOLOGY

 

New version of ISTMA Terminology is now available. The new webservice includes new functionalities to search parts through browsing the graphical data base, with no need to know of the name of the part (total or partial). Subscribers of the service are also able to print copies of configurable collections of parts and components (eventually the full collection). Terminology document is available in eleven different European languages: English (UK), English (US), French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Finnish, Italian, Swedish, Dutch and Polish.
